These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of XPARO (the "Service", accessible at xparo.in and its subdomains), operated by Pankaj Jangir from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India ("XPARO", "we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. This is an electronic record within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules made thereunder, and does not require any physical or digital signature to be valid and binding.
XPARO is a software platform for building and operating robotics projects. It provides, among other things: a visual behavior-tree editor for programming robot logic; real-time telemetry, monitoring, and analytics for connected robots and their sensors; per-project data storage (including robot-uploaded sensor recordings / "rosbag" files); a project website and blog builder for publishing information about your project; team collaboration tools (project membership with Owner/Editor/Viewer roles); an AI chat assistant for interacting with your project data; and free browser-based robotics tools and guides that anyone can use without an account. Some features are free to use; others consume "credits" (displayed in the product as "XP coins") or require a one-time paid pass, as described in Section 6 and on our pricing page.
You must provide a valid email address to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. In line with the Indian Contract Act, 1872 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you must be at least 18 years old, or of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to independently create an account and enter into these Terms; if you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must create and consent to the account on your behalf. Notify us immediately at the contact address in Section 18 if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload through the Service, including behavior trees, project descriptions, blog posts, images, and robot telemetry/sensor data ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display it solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you (for example, rendering your project's public website, or running your behavior trees against live robot data). We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not sell it to third parties.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to upload it. Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or that you do not have permission to share (including data collected by robots operating in spaces you do not control).
The Service lets you optionally publish a project website and blog posts that are publicly accessible at a URL we
provide (e.g. xparo.in/web/<your-project>). Anything you choose to publish this way is visible to
anyone on the internet. You are responsible for what you choose to make public. Blog posts are published as
formatted text: scripts and embedded code are removed automatically, and interactive demos on project websites run
in an isolated sandbox. We may remove publicly published content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
Our free tools (such as the battery, motor-sizing and electronics calculators, the PID tuning simulator, the quaternion converter, the serial monitor, the map editor and the package generator) and our guides are provided for information and education. Their results are estimates based on the values you enter and on simplified models. They are not a substitute for professional engineering judgement, datasheets, or testing on your real hardware. Check important results independently, especially for batteries, mains or high-current electrics, mechanical loads, and any robot that could injure people or damage property. You use the tools and act on the guides at your own risk.
Certain features beyond the free tier are billed per project, not per account or as a recurring subscription today. Purchases currently available are:
Current prices for both are listed on our pricing page and are shown again before you confirm any purchase. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). Prices may change; changes do not affect purchases already completed. Payments are processed by Cashfree Payments (India) Pvt. Ltd., an RBI-authorised online payment aggregator -- we do not store your card, UPI, or bank account details ourselves (see Section 7).
All payments on the Service are processed through Cashfree, a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment gateway. When you pay, you are subject to Cashfree's own terms and privacy practices in addition to ours. We only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, and a transaction reference -- we do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN.
All purchases are final. Because credits and passes are digital goods that are either activated immediately or consumed as you use the Service, we do not offer refunds once a purchase has completed, except where required by law or where we determine, at our sole discretion, that a genuine billing error occurred (for example, a duplicate charge). If you believe you were charged in error, contact us at the address in Section 18 within 14 days of the charge.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
XPARO is software for monitoring and directing robots; it is not a safety-certified control system. You are solely responsible for the physical safety of any robot or hardware you connect to the Service, for complying with all applicable laws and regulations governing robot operation in your jurisdiction, and for any consequences of your robots' physical actions. Do not rely on the Service as the sole safety mechanism for hardware capable of causing injury or property damage.
Some public pages of the Service, such as the free tools, guides and blog, show ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Ads are provided by third parties; we do not endorse the products or services advertised, and any dealings you have with an advertiser are between you and that advertiser. How advertising cookies work, and how to opt out of personalised ads, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
The Service relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including cloud file storage, email delivery, error monitoring, and (on our public pages) advertising and analytics. These are described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of the Service is also subject to the applicable terms of those providers where you interact with them directly (for example, Cashfree during checkout).
We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of material changes that affect paid features you have already purchased.
The Service, including the free tools and guides, is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted, or that behavior trees, calculations or telemetry data will be accurate or delivered without delay.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service -- including damages arising from the physical operation of robots you connect to it, or from decisions made using results from the free tools. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.
We will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing the Service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including internet or power outages, cloud-provider or payment-gateway outages, natural disasters, or government action.
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the name and contact details of the Grievance Officer are provided below. The seat and venue of arbitration will be Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, and the proceedings will be conducted in English. This clause does not prevent either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a court where necessary. This section is in addition to, and does not override, any statutory rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, including your right to approach a consumer forum.
